HYDE PARK

Hyde Park is the bomb, literally the place where the atomic bomb was invented. It is an area of artist and intellectuals and houses the Museum of Science and Industry. The University of Chicago is also found in Hyde Park. 57th Street beach draws a large crowd in the summer as do the running paths along Lake Michigan and fields in Jackson and Washington Parks. Housing in Hyde Park tends to be Historic and Land Marked homes in the form of two and three flats and mid/high-rises. The main strip of Hyde Park is 53rd street where residents enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment.
