LINCOLN SQUARE

The commercial heart of Lincoln Square is located at the intersection of Lawrence, Western, and Lincoln Avenues. It is becoming increasingly popular with younger residents who want to move from Lakeview and Lincoln Park into a somewhat quieter area with rents at a more affordable price tag. There are tons of tree lined streets in Lincoln Square with big Victorian homes, two and three flats as well as an occasional larger rental building. The area was formerly heavily populated with Germans and at times their presence can still be felt. There are a good number of restaurants and small shops throughout the neighborhood and Davis Theatre serves up the entertainment. Wells Park is a great place to go for a run, jog, or stroll. Lincoln Square is accessible by the Brown Line and several CTA buses, so getting home won’t be difficult at all.
