The Process

Renting an apartment through Apartment Vigilantes is simple and free. Just give us a call or come by our office and let us know what you’re looking for in terms of location, price, neighborhood, etc. (the more specific the better). We’ll assign an agent to your request who will not only look at our expansive database, but also take into consideration the intangibles and specifics that make the difference between an apartment and the apartment.

One of our agents will drive you to and from the listings and show you the ins and outs of the apartment unit, the building, and the surrounding area. If you don’t see anything that interests you, we will try again, happily and without question. No pressure. No hassle.

If you do decide on an apartment through our listing, you will be expedited through the application process. This will generally include an application fee and a security deposit. Each complex varies by manager, but one month’s rent is the normal agreement for a security deposit. It is a good idea to bring a checkbook or credit card when you go out with our agents. Chances are that if you like a place, somebody else will like it, too. Keep in mind that Apartment Vigilantes is only a bridge between you and your new place -- there is absolutely no cost to you. No cost off the top. No costs on the backside. No hidden costs. No costs.

It’s also recommended that you bring two recent paycheck stubs to speed up the employment verification and credit check which comes standard with most lease agreements. Our agents will work with the leasing office to have your application completed within 2-5 business days and will contact you directly as soon as it’s completed. You’ll then be able to schedule a time to sign the lease and move in as soon as possible.
